Complete Medical Services
We have a well-equipped veterinary hospital and our highly trained staff allows us to perform most medical procedures and provide the necessary care for all your pets.
Wellness Examinations and Immunizations
We emphasize annual examinations for our healthy patients and semi-annual examinations for our senior pets and pets with ongoing medical conditions. We strongly recommend annual bloodwork for all of our patients aged two years and older.
The gradual onset of health problems in an apparently healthy pet can often go unnoticed. Once symptoms appear, the condition may be too difficult or costly to diagnose and treat. Vaccinations for your pet are given based on risk factors specific for your pet’s age and environment.
Surgical Procedures
We perform surgeries with a CO2 laser. The laser causes less bleeding and less pain during the surgery and recovery, so your pet feels better, faster! Cat declaws are performed with minimal pain and bandages are usually not required.
We perform most routine surgical procedures; from spays and neuters to more complicated abdominal surgeries and some orthopedic procedures. We remove skin masses quickly with the laser, often with minor sedation and no sutures. All of our major surgical cases require bloodwork pre-operatively, are given IV fluids and modern inhaled gas anesthesia. Pain management is used on all major surgical cases.
Microchips
Microchip implantation is a quick and painless procedure for pets, widely used and nationally recognized, that can save your pet's life and bring him/her home safely to you. A sterile microchip is inserted under the skin that animal shelters and veterinary hospitals now routinely scan for when a lost animal is found.
When an identifying microchip is detected, a simple call to a toll-free number can reunite owner and pet. Please ask us about placing a microchip in your pet if it doesn't already have one of these valuable identification devices.
Dental Care
Dr. Murphy has taken advanced continuing education courses in veterinary dentistry and provides superior veterinary dental care to your pet. We perform routine ultrasonic teeth cleaning and are capable of taking digital dental radiographs to diagnose advanced periodontal disease. 75-80% of our patients 3 years and older need routine dental care.
We easily perform multiple root tooth extractions and root canals with our advanced dental instruments. Regular ultrasonic teeth cleaning provides your pet with good oral health. As an adjunct to teeth cleaning, we recommend a dental home care plan that is specifically designed to your pet's needs.

Laboratory and Diagnostic Testing
Laboratory testing plays an important role in the early detection of changes in your pet's health. Diagnostic tests provide essential information by which our veterinarians can identify blood disorders, kidney and liver disease, diabetes, infection, cancer, thyroid disease and other hormonal problems.
Our in-house laboratory provides fast and accurate information so that your pet can receive appropriate treatment immediately after arriving at the hospital. We also send diagnostic samples to Antech Laboratories for routine blood and urine testing, microbiology, cytology, pathology, serology and other specialized tests. Our veterinarians are able to consult with Antech veterinary specialists in several different fields including pathology, internal medicine, cardiology and radiology.
Radiology
We have a modern x-ray machine that produces excellent quality radiographs. These radiographs are extremely helpful for diagnosing orthopedic, medical and surgical conditions as well as OFA certification for hip dysplasia in dogs.
